Coaching

John Carver, co-founder of ‘The Tennis Network’ in 1999 is Head Tennis Coach at Bristol Lawn Tennis and Squash Club, the venue for most Tennis Network courses.

He has been working full time at the club since 2001 and prior to that combined coaching at a number of venues with his job as Bristol Tennis Development Officer based at Avon LTA office at Coombe Dingle.

Current school work includes Redland Green, Cotham , Westbury Park, and 5 other primary schools in our educational cluster. We also provide coaching at The Downs School, and St Ursulas. In the past he has provided holiday and term time coaching for Clifton College and a number of other primary and secondary schools.

Some of  the work referred to has just started through an 'Outreach Programme' funded by Awards for All (lottery funding) and we are working closely with the Portway School Sports Partnership and are delivering Tennis in our 6 feeder primaries and 2 secondary schools - Redland Green and Cotham.
